Service Messages Become Chargeable
Service messages are regular, free-form replies sent by your agents, chatbot flows, or AI agents within an active 24-hour customer service window.
Utility Templates inside 24h Window Now Chargeable
Previously, utility templates sent inside an open 24-hour customer service window were free. Starting October 1, 2026, utility templates are billable regardless of window state.

- •Customer Inbound Messages: All messages sent by users to your number.
- •First 1,000 Service Messages: Free-form text and media replies up to 1,000/month per WABA.
- •72-Hour Free Entry Point (FEP): Responses originating from Click-to-WhatsApp Ads or Facebook Page CTA buttons.
- •Unsuccessful Deliveries: If a message fails or is undelivered, zero charges apply.
Chargeable After Delivery
- •Service Messages 1,001+: Charged at recipient country's utility rate (₹0.15 in India).
- •All Utility Templates: Charged at utility rates even when sent in an active 24h CSW.
- •Marketing Templates: Standard marketing rate card (e.g. ₹1.01 in India).
- •Authentication Templates: Standard authentication rate card.
